The ND4 housing provides access to all functions of the Nikon D4 including Liveview and Info. The ergonomic arrangement of all important elements on the housing allows convenient operation of the camera without having to let go of the handle. The camera is guided precisely on a special slide, eliminating installation errors. A generously dimensioned 4 mm O-ring and the SUBAL QuickLock locking system, which prevents accidental jamming of the O-ring, ensure maximum safety. Threads on the base allow rails etc. to be attached. Light pilot lamps can be attached to the top accessory shoe. The well-shaded monitor window provides a glare-free and high-contrast view of the camera monitor and thus ideally supports the use of the camera’s video function.
SUBAL offers 4 different viewfinder systems for this housing:
The standard viewfinder reduces the viewfinder image slightly so that it can be fully surveyed despite the diving mask.
The GS-180 viewfinder and the 360 degree rotatable WS-45
angled viewfinder offer a viewfinder image that is roughly the same size as the camera viewfinder, with the GS-180 providing a straight horizontal view and the WS-45 a 45° view.
The new PS-30 prism viewfinder shows the camera monitor image in the same size at a viewing angle of 30°. The view is at a normal reading distance, making it particularly suitable for video recordings. The viewfinder systems are interchangeable and can be easily replaced by the user. The choice of materials, processing, surface protection and finish correspond to the usual level of quality that has led to the proverbial reliability of SUBAL products.
All SUBAL front ports with bayonet connection can be used with this housing (except DP-FE2).
